The Nayela Bateleur is a luxury solid-body off-road caravan designed for adventurous travellers who want comfort, practicality and durability in a compact package. Engineered and manufactured by Van Zyl Staalwerke (VZS Group), the Bateleur is built around a fully galvanised chassis and single 1,800kg axle.
With 305mm of ground clearance, all-terrain 245/70/R16 tyres and a robust construction, the Bateleur is designed to handle off-road adventures while providing a comfortable living space at camp.

Practicality & Comfort
The Bateleur combines practical features with a comfortable interior. A standard double bed provides a dedicated sleeping area, while the dinette can also be used as a ¾ bed. The interior includes laminated flooring, soft lighting, ample electrical outlets, USB ports and 12V connections.
A 157L fridge, lockable storage and generous pantry areas provide plenty of space for food, clothing and camping equipment. A wide entrance door also makes accessing the caravan easy.
Kitchen & Optional Features
The Bateleur can be equipped with an optional slide-out kitchen featuring a two-burner stove, hot and cold water sink, electric geyser, 80L water tank and water pump. An external kitchen provides additional flexibility when preparing meals outdoors.
Additional options include tent and awning configurations, movers, air conditioning, a 12V fridge upgrade, solar panels, lithium battery, bicycle mount, additional 85L water tank, TV, microwave, aluminium storage cabin and mag wheels.
Optional Full Bathroom
A full bathroom option is available, including a flush toilet, shower and wash basin, providing additional convenience for extended off-grid and off-road adventures.
